WHY ISN’T THE WORLD GETTING BETTER?
Matthew 13:24-30

The parable or illustration of the “Wheat and Weeds”, is here given by Jesus – concerning the end times. It is never easy to understand the parables of Jesus. We must keep in mind the Context and the Historical situation, which is to be our guide for a true and correct interpretation.

In Matthew 13:10 -18, Jesus explains to His disciples, the reason why He is using parables. He calls them “Mysteries or secrets concerning His Kingdom” (v. 11), which refers to the events of the pre-Kingdom time in the future – called ‘the Tribulation’. (cf. Matthew 24:21)
